An Iwi owned and governed service provider

Te Hā Oranga was established in the early 1990s, with the support of the Northern Regional Health Authority, as an iwi endorsed and owned health service provider that operates under the tikanga of Ngāti Whātua. The objective was to set up a kaupapa Māori, iwi endorsed provider that was able to implement Te Rūnanga O Ngāti Whātua hauora obligations. This continues to be our objective.

Ko te mana o Ngāti Whātua hāpaingia a, kia kaua hoki tētahi e mahue.

The integrity of Ngāti Whātua will be assured when not one descendant is left compromised.

Welcome to Te Hā Oranga, the Health and Social Services arm of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua working to uphold the sacred obligations of Kaitiakitanga to protect Papatūānuku, Manaakitanga to care for people, Mana Ngāti Whātua to uphold the mana of Ngāti Whātua, and Kāinga to look after the whenua taurikura o Ngāti Whātua mai i Tāmaki ki Mauganui, mai i Maunganui ki Tāmaki.

With a growing range of health and social services within Tāmaki Mākaurau (Auckland), Te Awaroa (Helensville), Wellsford, and Tākiwira (Dargaville) servicing ngā uri o Ngāti Whātua and those within the rohe of Ngāti Whātua.
